Single Family Collection

The City of Burnaby provides weekly collection for yard trimmings and food scraps, garbage and recycling for single and two-family properties.

Help ensure that your yard trimmingsand food scraps, garbage and recyclables are sorted and placed at the curb or lane correctly for collection. Our curbside collection calendar and collection guidelines can be downloaded below:

  Single Family Recycling

Garbage and yard trimmings with food scraps are collected using an automated collection system that utilizes specially designated wheeled containers for collection. Recycling is collected manually with recyclables separated into a blue box for containers, a blue bag for newspapers and a yellow bag for mixed paper.
