This public information meeting will provide you with the information you need regarding the City’s plans to respond to the 2012 Fraser River Freshet and any potential flood.

Where: Riverway Golf Course Clubhouse, 9001 Bill Fox Way, Burnaby, BC
When: Tuesday, May 22, 2012, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Note that a public presentation will be made at 4:30 p.m. and repeated at 6:00 p.m.

Emergency Program

Emergency Management Programs are responsible for coordinating the systems and processes for mitigating against, preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies and disasters.

Burnaby’s Emergency Management Program involves community outreach and awareness, emergency planning and preparedness, and actions that respond to emergency situations. This program involves planning, preparing plans and ensuring that adequate numbers of people, facilities, equipment and supplies are available to meet the requirements of various emergency situations.

Who we are

Burnaby's Emergency Management Program prepares civic employees, residents, and local businesses for the effects of a disaster or major emergency.

From Disaster Debris Management and Business Continuity Planning, preparedness education and awareness, the Emergency Program Office strives to ensure that Burnaby is a disaster resilient community for all to live, work and play in.
