Burnaby to New West Transmission Project

Construction work for the Burnaby to New West Transmission Project is anticipated to begin in late May. This project is a new 2.8 kilometre, 60 kilovolt underground transmission circuit that will connect New Westminster Substation to an existing transmission line located near Lakefield Drive in a right-of-way close to Robert Burnaby Park. Marine Way Rehabilitation Project
- Nelson Avenue to Byrne Road

The City of Burnaby is planning the rehabilitation of the roadway along Marine Way over the summer months. The project includes foamed asphalt base stabilization, drainage improvements and asphalt resurfacing. Construction is scheduled to begin early-July, 2012 and be completed by mid-August, 2012. For more information and updates on the project, please visit
