This public information meeting will provide you with the information you need regarding the City’s plans to respond to the 2012 Fraser River Freshet and any potential flood.

When: Tuesday, May 22, 2012, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Note that a public presentation will be made at 4:30 p.m. and repeated at 6:00 p.m.

Engineering Systems

Who We Are

The Engineering Systems division is comprised of technical staff who provide expertise on Engineering related computer systems.

Our role depends on the various requirements within the Engineering Department. Below are samples of some of the requirements from City Engineers and staff:

What We Do

Engineering Systems personnel enable staff to use the following tools:

Engineering computer systems:
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Computer Aided Drafting Design (CADD/Drafting)
  • Infrastructure Management Systems (IMS)
  • Infrastructure Planning Software
  • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
Computer hardware:
  • Computers
  • Printers
  • Plotters
  • Mobile Devices
Technical services:
  • Computer systems analysis and design
  • Procurement of services for technical projects
  • Data entry and maintenance of computer systems
