Arts & Heritage

Our message is simple: “Look into the arts.” Please consider it an invitation to explore the wealth of classes, workshops, exhibits, performances and special events. Yet those words are also a call to awaken the artist within us all. When we look inside ourselves, we find an imaginative, joyous, endlessly playful part of ourselves, eager for creative expression through movement, music drama and the visual, ceramic and literary arts.

Need some inspiration? Take in an exhibit at the Burnaby Art Gallery, a performance at the Shadbolt Centre or step back in time at the Burnaby Village Museum. When we’re creative, we enter a state of “flow” that mind-body specialists believe is essential for growth, well-being and happiness. Consider the possibilities, then join the thousands who have found their personal voice through paint, clay, pen, movement and a myriad of other artistic media.

By looking into the arts in Burnaby, you’re sure to find a reflection of the artist inside of you.
