Projects & Initiatives

Burnaby’s Community Arts Development Program continues to flourish thanks to initiatives in our community. If you have an idea for a community art project that shares concerns, ideas, achievements or dreams, we encourage you to bring it forward. To start, work together with other community members and prepare a proposal of how you will successfully fulfill all areas and roles of your community art project idea. Once you have your plan together, contact us and we will review and assess it.

The community arts program also gives consideration to initiatives for special events in Burnaby. If the criteria is met for a community arts initiative and resources are available, it’s possible the community arts development program will support the project in various ways, such as planning advice, resource information, recommendation of artists to facilitate the project and/or partial funding.
