Continuum Dance Company

Experienced dancers may audition for the Shadbolt Centre’s resident community dance companies, Youth In Motion and Continuum Dance Company.
Continuum is Shadbolt’s community dance company for the modern dancer who has a minimum of 3–4 years of previous training, or for the dancer who is looking to get back to dance.
The goal of the company is to provide mature dancers an opportunity to train, dance, and perform in a supportive and noncompetitive environment, while exposing dancers and audiences to the art of modern dance. Dancers must commit to and attend two evening classes a week: Modern Technique on Mondays and Composition on Thursdays, from the end of September to mid-May. There are opportunities to perform throughout the year including a formal year-end performance in May. Classes began September 19, 2011 and run until mid May 2012 (excluding Winter and Spring break). All classes are held at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. Dancers must audition or have permission to register and commit to all three sessions - Fall 2011, Winter 2012 & Spring 2012.
