Grade 5 Be Active

Burnaby’s Grade 5 Be Active program is back!
Burnaby is continuing with a commitment to increasing physical activity in Grade 5 students and building healthy active lifestyle habits.
Last October, all Burnaby Grade 5 students received a registration form from their classroom teacher. Students then took the completed Registration form to their local recreation facility where they were issued a "b" card that gave them access to a variety of free activities around Burnaby.
Every time they come to a Burnaby recreation facility, students must bring their "b" card and swipe it at the front counter to be admitted. A complete schedule of activities that are eligible were handed out with Registration Forms.
Burnaby residents who are in Grade 5 but not attending School District 41 will also be able to get an application form on this website by the end of September. Completed application forms along with a birth certificate and proof of residency can be taken to a local recreation facility where a b card will be issued.
The program runs from now until September 3, 2012.
