Swimming

Burnaby currently has seven (three indoor and four outdoor) pools. Indoor pools are located at Bonsor Recreation Complex, CG Brown Pool, and Eileen Dailly Leisure Pool. Currenlty under construction is the Edmonds Aquatic and Community Centre, a new indoor pool in southeast Burnaby set to be opened in early 2013. 

In addition, Burnaby has four outdoor pools that are currently closed and will re-open for the summer season in May 2012.

Children's Admissions Policy

Children 7 years of age and younger, or less than 48 inches or 122 centimetres in height, must be accompanied in the water by a person 16 years of age or older and be within arm's reach of that person at all times. The ratio of children to accompanying persons must be no greater than 3 to 1.
