Grants

The City of Burnaby supports cultural, athletic and volunteer groups who provide services or promote activities which are beneficial to Burnaby. The City also supports non-profit organizations that organize community events and festivals. Applications for grants are either processed through the Festivals Burnaby Grant Program or the Executive Committee of Council.

Burnaby Blues Festival

Festivals Burnaby Grant Program

Organizations applying for grants to support events and festivals should apply through the Festivals Burnaby Grant Program. This program supports neighbourhood events, as well as small scale and large scale festivals and special events. Application forms are submitted to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department and are then reviewed by the Executive Committee of Council after which they are reviewed by Council.

Executive Committee of Council

Organizations that are applying for grants that fall outside of the Festivals Burnaby Grant Program (for example, Burnaby residents attending national and international athletic competitions or community groups providing human services to our community) should apply to the Executive Committee of Council.
