Programs at Bill Copeland will continue during the construction of the Burnaby Lake Recreation Complex.
Joe Sakic Way lane reduction: Starting June 18, Joe Sakic Way east of Kensington Avenue is reduced to a single eastbound lane until mid-July to allow for underground utility work. Traffic control personnel are on site to manage vehicle flow and ensure safety. Please note that there is no exit to Kensington Avenue during this period — all vehicles must exit via Sprott Street. Parking changes: The northwest parking lot is closed until September 2025. The all-weather gravel field will be reverted to its previous condition in September. View our parking map for parking locations. Contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
Accessible entrance: We encourage you to use the accessible entrance at the rear lower level of the facility, near the Burnaby Lake East Sports Complex parking lot off Sperling Avenue. A pedestrian entrance also remains open at the front of the facility.
