Important information for program participants
Thank you for registering in one of our outdoor programs. Please open and review the map and informational package for your program. Also be sure to open, review, print and sign the appropriate waiver for all participants. If you are unable or do not have access to a printer, your instructor will have extra waivers on hand for you to sign at the beginning of the program. Keep in mind that those under the age of 19 years need their parent/guardian to sign the waiver. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to call the Outdoor Recreation Coordinator at 604-294-7224.

Parent & Tot preschool programs are offered in partnership with Metro Vancouver Regional District. Meet your Metro Vancouver Interpretive Guide at the Burnaby Lake Nature House at the south end of Piper Avenue off Winston Street. Programs run rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Sun hats, jackets, sun screen and insect repellent are recommended. Children must be aged three to five and accompanied by one adult only.
Directions
From Lougheed Highway turn south on Brighton (SFU skytrain station), right on Winston and left on Piper Avenue. The Nature House is at the end of Piper avenue on the right.
OR
From Canada Way turn north on Kensington. Past Joe Sakic Way take the Lougheed exit and keep right onto the Winston exit and turn right on Piper Ave. Nature House is at the end of Piper on the right. Map
Create Your Own Outdoor Recreation Program
Interested in canoeing, kayaking, hiking or snowshoeing, but don’t see a day or time that meets your schedule? Get a group together and we’ll work with you to create a custom-tailored course to meet your needs. Canoeing/kayaking available until mid-October. Snowshoeing available mid-December to early March.
