Born in Pincher Creek Alberta and graduated from the University of Alberta in 1973 with a degree in Education. In 1976 Colleen moved to Burnaby where she has lived and worked ever since. In 2005 retired after serving as the Elected full time CUPE BC Secretary-Treasurer for fourteen years.
