All major routes provide access to Burnaby including Highway #1, the Lougheed Highway, Canada Way, Hastings Street and Marine Way. Major highways connect Burnaby with neighbouring cities (Vancouver, New Westminster, Coquitlam).

Visitors coming from the United States can:

  • Follow Highway 99 to Highway 91 north
  • Cross the Alex Fraser Bridge
  • Head into New Westminster
  • Take the Queensborough Bridge over into south Burnaby

The TransCanada Highway (Highway 1) runs through central Burnaby, connecting the east and west boundaries of North Road with Boundary Rd.
