Burnaby City Council to Hold Special Council Meeting

A Special Council Meeting of Burnaby City Council will be held on Monday, March 23 at 5 p.m. in City Council Chamber.

At this Special Council Meeting, Council will consider a recommendation to cancel the Regular Meeting of Council at 6 p.m. on March 23, the Public Hearing on March 24, and all Committee, Commission and Board meetings up to April 30.

City Council will also consider an amendment to Burnaby Procedure Bylaw 2004. Under the current bylaw, electronic participation by Council members is only permitted at Special Meetings. The amendment, if approved, would allow electronic participation at a Regular Meeting, and all regularly scheduled Board, Committee or Commission meetings during a pandemic as declared by the World Health Organization.
