Indoor Sports, Group Fitness and Dance Classes Cancelled

Due to a recently issued Provincial Health Order, all affected indoor sports, group fitness, cycling, yoga and dance classes are cancelled in all City of Burnaby recreation facilities starting November 8 until further notice.

Refunds or credits will be provided to anyone who has registered in advance for these programs.

Cancelled Indoor Sports & Classes

  • Racquetball and squash matches (court rentals are available for individual practice)
  • Basketball
  • Indoor cycling
  • Yoga and Pilates
  • Group fitness led by an instructor (eg Zumba, Cardio, HIIT)
  • Dance
  • Bubble Bees and Bubble Sports Gym

All other indoor activities in our recreation facilities will continue following the centres’ safety protocols. These include:

  • Aquafit 
  • Public swimming, laps swims and lessons
  • Public skating and lessons
  • Weight room visits and cardio machine use by individuals
  • Badminton, table tennis, indoor tennis and pickleball reduced to single players only (no doubles play)
  • Games Room at Willingdon Community Centre
  • Registered recreation and arts programs (except dance classes)
