Join Mayor Mike Hurley on a friendly walk and talk

Burnaby residents will have more opportunities this year to connect with their mayor and achieve their daily step count goals at the same time.

The popular Walk with the Mayor events return in 2020, with Mayor Mike Hurley hosting a series of public walk and talks at the indoor track at Burnaby South Secondary School. All Burnaby residents are invited to join the mayor for a walk from 9-10am on the last Sunday of the month, from January to April.

“I had the pleasure of chatting with many Burnaby residents during last year’s walks,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. “I’m looking forward to meeting many more this year. Walking is a fantastic way to stay active, especially during the winter months.”

Walk with the Mayor is scheduled for the following Sundays:

Parking is available at the school parking lot at 7373 MacPherson Ave. There is no sign up required — simply meet the group at the indoor track at 9am.
