Award-winning musicians highlight the star-studded lineup set to take the stage at Burnaby’s Shadbolt Centre for the Arts as part of the 2021 edition of Live Streaming at the ’Bolt.
The innovative concert series offers audiences the chance to enjoy the excitement and electricity of a live performance from the comfort of their own home. Every Thursday from January 28 to April 1, a diverse lineup of performers will take the stage at the Studio Theatre in the Shadbolt Centre to perform for audiences who are tuning in through livestreaming technology.
The season kicks off with a free performance by Vancouver’s Rumba Calzada on January 28. Led by composer and percussionist Raphael Geronimo, the Juno-nominated Rumba Calzada stirs up a mesmerizing Caribbean musical fusion, with a powerful and joyful sound that is guaranteed to bring the house down every time.
Award-winning soul, jazz and R&B artist Krystle Dos Santos will take the stage February 4. Drawing inspiration from classical and neo-soul, her R&B sound is simultaneously elegant, bold and sensual — similar to modern legends Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley.
