World-Class Performers Highlight an Innovative Fall Lineup at the Shadbolt

The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts will host one of the most ambitious livestream projects in B.C. this fall, offering audiences the choice to take in a live performance in person or from the comfort of their own home.

Every Sunday in November, CELLARSTREAM at the ‘Bolt will feature some of B.C.’s greatest jazz and soulful music artists performing in a gorgeous setting at the Shadbolt Centre, streamed live to audiences around the world. Filmed through a multi-camera set up with world-class audio recording equipment, each CELLARSTREAM concert will showcase the unique character and sound of some of the greatest musicians in Canada. Each show starts at 7pm.

One of Vancouver’s most beloved pianists Sharon Minemoto and her quartet headline the first CELLARSTREAM performance November 1. Jazz and gospel legend Dee Daniels takes the stage with her stellar four-piece band November 8.

November 15 features the debut of Cory Weeds’ Weeds with Strings project, which features a 12-piece string orchestra and multiple Juno winner Phil Dwyer. Jazz & blues powerhouse vocalist Steve Maddock will take the stage on November 22, and saxophonist Steve Kaldestad will pay tribute to the legendary George Coleman with his performance on November 29.

Live (Streaming) at the ‘Bolt on Thursdays

There is much to enjoy at the Shadbolt Centre this fall. While CELLARSTREAM will take over the Shadbolt on Sundays, the Live (Streaming) at the ‘Bolt concert series continues to run every Thursday evening in the Studio Theatre until December 3.

Catch a performance by Vancouver soul dynamo Dawn Pemberton, who will bring her signature blend of soulful groove and gospel stylings to the Shadbolt Centre on October 22. On October 29, Monica Lee will showcase her powerful voice, sense of humour and poetic chops. These performances begin at 8pm, with pre-show performances beginning at 7:30.
