Commercial Collection

The City of Burnaby's garbage and recycling collection program extends beyond residential services; our crews provide collection for garbage and recycling to over 500 commercial, institutional and civic facilities.

How to Pay 

Commercial refuse accounts are billed quarterly. Payment is due 30 days from each quarterly billing date. Overdue invoices will be subject to a 2% late payment charges if payment not received by the due date on the notice.

Payment Options

  • Online / Phone Banking / ATM
    Select Burnaby Commercial Refuse as a payee and enter your 8-digit account number 
  • Drop Box 
    24-hour drop boxes located at both entrances to Burnaby City Hall (4949 Canada Way) 
  • By Mail 
    Mail your cheque and stub well in advance to the Burnaby Tax Office, 4949 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC V5G 1M2.
  • In Person
    In person payments are currently suspended at Burnaby City Hall due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

For any billing or payment inquiries, please email tax.refuse@burnaby.ca or call 604-294-7350. Change of address requests must be submitted on the business letterhead or sent by the business email.

Metro Vancouver provides a wide range of resources, including:

  • Tip sheets, recycling signage and other resources for various business sectors (e.g. schools, retail, janitorial services, property managers)
  • Metro Vancouver Recycles - database of all drop-off locations
