Multi-Family Garbage Guidelines
The City of Burnaby provides weekly collection of garbage from apartments, condos and townhomes.
Collection Reminders
- No banned or prohibited materials are to be placed in your complex's garbage container.
- Garbage must be bagged and placed inside the container without overflow.

Banned Materials
Certain items are banned from the garbage in Burnaby. They are either recyclable or hazardous. Banned materials can be recycled or disposed of properly through the City's multi-family recycling program, at the City's Eco-Centre, a Regional Disposal Facility or through a Provincial Take-Back program. Additional Disposal
For extra garbage that does not fit in your regular garbage bin, or if you have materials we don't accept, such as building or renovation materials, please take these items to a Regional Disposal Facility.
