Metro West Inter-Municipal Business Licence
An Inter-Municipal Business Licence (IMBL) is available in the Metro West region. For an additional annual $250 fee, eligible businesses can be licensed to work in all six participating municipalities, eliminating the requirement to obtain a business licence in each municipality.

Eligibility is limited to businesses, defined as trades contractors or other professionals (related to the construction industry) that provides a service or product other than from their fixed and permanent location.
Only eligible businesses which have a fixed and permanent location in one of the participating municipalities are eligible for the IMBL.
The business must hold a valid business licence in the municipality where the base operation (home based or commercial) location is situated. The IMBL must be purchased from this municipality.
A business that is issued an IMBL must comply with the bylaws of each participating municipality.

Applications should be submitted to the municipal business licensing office of your home municipality (where your business is presently located and licensed).

Eligible businesses will still need to obtain a municipal business licence from their home municipality and a license for each fixed and permanent location they have.
The Metro West IMBL is only valid within the six participating municipalities; therefore businesses intending to operate in a non-participating municipality should contact the business office in that area.
