Four sub-committees have been formed!
Four sub-committees have now been formed and they building on the work of the Steering Committee and the input received from Phase 1 public consultation. The 10 ESS themes (shown in italics below) were grouped into four sub-committees. The “Manage” theme is also being considered by all four sub-committees.
1. Ecosystems - Green and Flow
2. Urban Development – Live, Move, Build and Breathe
3. Health and Well-Being - Live and Prosper
4. Green Economy, Food Systems and Waste – Conserve, Prosper and Nourish
There are currently over 100 people who have committed to participate in the sub-committee process, including ESS Steering Committee members and additional members of the public who were appointed by Mayor Corrigan to ensure there is a good mix of technical and community stakeholder representation in each sub-committee.
The sub-committees are now engaged in detailed discussions on goals, objectives, and action within each of the theme areas, with each sub-committee focusing their expertise on specific topic. We will be sharing the “key directions” from their work with the public as part of the Phase 2 public consultation – Exploring Further.
