Exploring Child Care Needs

Across British Columbia, there is a significant shortage of licensed child care spaces.

Burnaby is one of many municipalities currently participating in the Community Child Care Planning Program. Through funding provided by the Province of B.C. and administered by the Union of BC Municipalities, Burnaby has received a grant to identify child care space needs in our community.

This grant will enable our city to collect information regarding child care needs, establish space targets for the next 10 years and identify actions to meet those targets.
