High Streamflow Advisory: Fraser River

The River Forecast Centre has issued a High Streamflow Advisory for the Fraser River due to increased snow melt runoff. River levels and flows are expected to remain elevated this week and into the weekend.

City staff are monitoring water levels, conducting daily patrols of areas adjacent to the Fraser River, and are prepared for possible minor flooding as part of our Flood Response Plan »

2018 Utility Rates

Current year's utility notice will be available at the end of January each year.

Council has approved a 0.0% increase in sanitary sewer rates and an 0.0% increase in water rates for 2018. The new rates will fund Burnaby's share of the ongoing operation, maintenance and capital improvements provided through the Greater Vancouver Sewage and Drainage District, and the Greater Vancouver Water District. The rate increase will ensure that the water and sanitary sewer utilities continue to be financially self-sustaining.

5% discount if paid by March 15, 2018
