Public Safety Committee

The Public Safety Committee (formerly the Community Policing Committee) serves in an advisory role to Burnaby City Council. The Committee advises Council on public safety matters including community policing and crime prevention initiatives, and liaises with City Council, the RCMP Burnaby Detachment, Burnaby Fire Department, Engineering Department and the broader community. Find minutes, agendas, and current members at our City Hall page.

Community Policing Advisory Committees in each of Burnaby’s four community policing districts operate as subcommittees of the Public Safety Committee. These provide individual citizens, organizations and businesses the chance to give input into the development of policing priorities.
