Permits, Applications & Fees
Public Access to Administration Office & Stations By Appointment Only
The Fire Department Administration office and all stations are closed to the public during this time. Access is restricted to approved appointments only.
Only cheque or online UST permit payment will be accepted; any payment drop-off requests must be scheduled in advance through the Administration Office.
Permit applications can be downloaded online and scanned to fire@burnaby.ca for processing, or mailed directly to the Administration Office. Any hard copies dropped off will not be accepted.

The Burnaby Fire Department governs the issuance of the following:
- Burning Permits
- Storage Tank Installation/Removal Permits
- Fire Report Requests
- Fire Safety Plan Review
- Fireworks Permits
- Fire Service Application for Technical Rescue Service
Getting A Permit
Burning permits, fireworks permits and commercial tank installation/removal permits are $100, including tax. Residential tank installation/removal permits are $50, including tax.
We accept cash or cheque. Permits are available at the Administration Office located at Station 1. The office is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
