The City of Burnaby, as part of its move to a more sustainable and green future, is encouraging all of its vendors to receive payments via direct deposit, also known as EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) or ACH (Automated Clearing House).

We provide direct deposit to our Canadian and US suppliers to improve service and reduce the use of paper. Sign up now and future payments will be deposited directly to your business bank account.

How to apply

If you are a current supplier, complete the Vendor Application for Electronic Payment form, attach a void cheque, deposit slip or letter from your financial institution and forward it to our office via email to purchasing@burnaby.ca.

  • faster and secured payments, directly into your bank account
  • convenient, not having to manually deposit your cheques
  • no postal delays and/or disruptions
  • bank statements that show the deposit as a City of Burnaby payment
  • email alerts for the deposit of your payment two days prior to deposit
