As the City of Burnaby continues to offer more online payment services, system updates are required to keep these transactions secure. Updates are in place which now prompt users with obsolete browser encryption or certain operating systems to upgrade in order to access the City's online payment services.

Browser Encryption Set Lower Than TLS 1.2

The City of Burnaby regularly updates its online payment services to comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). These updates include the highest security standard, which is Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2. Updating your browser and checking the security options in use is recommended.
