Volunteer Appreciation

In the month of April, Canada celebrates the National Volunteer Appreciation Week.  This year, April 23-29, 2017 will be the National Volunteer Week.  And to encourage everyone to reflect on volunteering, Volunteer Canada will release a series of crossword puzzles that reveal the impacts, benefits and diverse ways Canadians are involved in communities. Some answers may be obvious, while others may cause you to stop and say, "Volunteering, Eh?" which is this year's National Volunteer Appreciation theme.

Last April 13, 2016 with the theme, "volunteers are the roots of strong communities,"  we recognized and thanked our volunteers for their years of service to the community with our annual luncheon at the Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby.
