Grocery Shop-By-Phone

In response to the COVID-19 situation, the City of Burnaby through the Citizen Support Services and in partnership with Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services have been providing weekly groceries to our Burnaby seniors. Mayor Hurley assisted in one of the weekly groceries shopping to boost the morale of staff and help our seniors in Burnaby.

Grocery Shop-by-Phone

Citizen Support Services in cooperation with Safeway offers a Shop-by-Phone Program to assist Burnaby senior residents who are living independently and are experiencing difficulties in getting out to do their weekly grocery shopping. Our volunteer phoners contact clients to get their grocery lists by Monday, and then on a Tuesday our volunteers shop the groceries for same day delivery.
