Claire Preston

Claire PRESTON

Claire Preston has always used her platforms and vote to try to improve our society, but it isn’t enough anymore. If we want to see a better world we need to take action. Claire has spent a lot of time listening to people who are in pain and learning the cause of their pain so that she can champion the best way to alleviate it. And when she is presented with new information and research she is willing to change her opinion, which is a strength that is sorely lacking in politics. She considers herself to be politically left and a democratic socialist at heart, as more and more studies and real life evidence shows that this is the best way to help people.

Scott Van Denham is a 43-year Burnaby resident; 32 of those in the Edmonds area. He has volunteered as a canvasser with Dogwood BC, in opposition to the Trans Mountain Expansion project, and helped secure Burnaby Council’s opposition to the now- abandoned Fraser Surrey Docks coal port proposal. A life-long renter, Scott also participated in the 2019 You Voice, Your Home conference, providing feedback for the Mayor’s Task Force on Community Housing.
