What?

Eligible Burnaby voters will elect:

  • one (1) Mayor;
  • eight (8) City Councillors; and
  • seven (7) School Trustees.

Who Can Vote?

Burnaby residents, who are:

  • 18 years or older on Election Day;
  • Canadian citizen;
  • Resident of British Columbia for at least six months before Election Day (April 19, 2018);
  • Resident of Burnaby for at least 30 days before Election Day (September 19, 2018); and
  • Not disqualified from voting by any statute or law.

If you own property in Burnaby, but do not live in the City, you may be eligible to vote in the 2018 Burnaby Local Government Election. More information »

Am I Registered to Vote?

Find out if you are registered to vote in the 2018 Burnaby Local Government Election.

If you are not registered, you may register with Elections BC by August 28, 2018.

Eligible voters will also have an opportunity to register in person on the voting day.

When and Where Can I Vote?

Vote at any designated voting location. In October 2018, eligible voters can cast their ballot on:

Advance Voting Dates: October 6, 10, and 13, 2018 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, at six advance voting locations.

Election Day: Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at any one of the 34 convenient voting locations.
