Charles Rummel Playground Re-Development

The playground at Charles Rummel Park is under construction spring 2019. Two new play structures will be installed in the area of the existing play box and a new sandbox will be installed adjacent to an accessible picnic table. The spray pad will remain open throughout this time. For further information, please contact parks@burnaby.ca or call 604-294-7450.

Pop-Up Playmobile

Our new Pop-Up Playmobile activities this summer include an adventure playground with kid’s construction on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a focus on unstructured, child-led play. Closed-toe shoes are required for this activity. Fridays and Saturdays will consist of a park service, including Imagination Playground blocks, sports, games, crafts and exciting activities Watch this space each week in July and August for dates, times and park locations.

Drop-in Playground Activities

Join the excitement in Burnaby parks in the summer! Our experienced playground leaders are in your neighbourhood parks. We invite your children to drop by and get involved in sports, games, water play, creative art activities and more. Please note: Young children taking part in the playground activities must be accompanied by an adult.
