Born and raised in Burnaby, I have long been a strong advocate for our community through various roles that include coaching youth soccer, baseball and lacrosse while raising three children with my wife of more than 30 years. I am also an award-winning musician, a founding member and leader of world-renowned rock band D.O.A., and an inductee into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame.

I am truly honoured to be elected to City Council in Burnaby, where I have lived my entire life and have raised my own children. During my time on Council, I will fight for affordable housing, a moratorium on demovictions and assistance for seniors. Other key priorities for me are the availability of more accessible daycare and help for the disadvantaged. As a successful business owner and entrepreneur, I have extensive experience negotiating hundreds of contracts and will use these skills to help advance these and other causes for Burnaby residents.

My entire adult life, I have been committed to fighting for people’s rights. This is what I will continue to do for our beloved city and the people who live here. Throughout my lifetime, I have organized and performed at more than 300 benefits and rallies for important causes such as women’s rights, environmental issues and union rights as well as events against war and racism.

Current Focus

During my tenure on City Council, I will focus my attention on the issues of affordable housing and helping some of the most vulnerable in our community, including the homeless and seniors.
