Street Banners

The City of Burnaby is pleased to unveil the selection of three student artworks as the lead design for the City of Burnaby’s outdoor street banners. The designs were created by three young community artists (two Burnaby secondary students and one elementary student), all of whom previously participated in the Burnaby Art Gallery’s Arts Alive showcase. These spectacular works will be displayed over 300 street poles along Deer Lake Park, Burnaby Lake and entrances into the City of Burnaby over the next couple of years.

We congratulate Alana S (Cameron Elementary), Amelia E (Burnaby Central Secondary) and Yejin H (Burnaby Mountain Secondary)! These student works exemplify visual techniques in the arts and their community participation.
