Barry Peterson & Blaise Enright: West Coast Literary Portraits

West Coast Literary Portraits Feature

October 2-December 3, 2012

Barry Peterson & Blaise Enright
McGill Library, Burnaby

“When it comes to West Coast writing and publishing, we have gone from famine to feast in less than a lifetime. This unprecedented array of portraits celebrates the feast. Barry Peterson’s approach is consistently non-pretentious, attempting to serve both the public and subject, in an honest fashion.” —Alan Twigg, Publisher, BC Bookworld

This exhibition features the photographic series West Coast Literary Portraits by Barry Peterson and Blaise Enright. In conjunction with the launch of the book 111 West Coast Literary Portraits: Photographs by Barry Peterson and Blaise Enright–Text by BC Authors, published by Mother Tongue Publishing, these works are part of a larger body that celebrates our local cultural wealth.

Photographer Barry Peterson will present his works to the public at McGill Library with guest authors in attendance on Wednesday, November 7 at 7pm. This is a free event.
