Tin Can Studio

June 28-September 1
Tin Can Studio

The Burnaby Art Gallery is pleased to host Tin Can Studio as they set up camp in Deer Lake Park this summer.  Join in a variety of free artist-led activities and creative workshops that invite one and all to MAKE, MOVE, CONNECT & DISCOVER through art! Run by artists Caroline Ballhorn and Jenny Lee Craig, Tin Can Studio is a mobile project space housed in a vintage 18 foot streamline trailer! The studio is a fully transformable and acts as a creative incubator, a studio on wheels and a venue and event space.

From June 28-September 1, Tin Can Studio invites the public to collaborate and reimagine Deer Lake Park as a place with the common purpose of creative exploration–offering opportunities for artistic collaboration, artist-led workshops, and the building of informal architectures (AKA: Tarpitecture!). A grand finale will be held on September 1 to celebrate the project’s wrap-up and showcase some of the things that have emerged over the course of the summer.
