BAG Family Activities
Come and make art! Get your minds humming with a visit to the gallery and then into the studio for family friendly art projects. A different project is featured each month. This program is no longer drop-in, please register by calling 604-297-4422. If registering online, 1 spot = 1 family (only one member of family needs to register). Sponsored by ABC Recycling.

Imagination Station (Parent & Tot)
Combine fun art projects with creative play in this new program for parents and tots. Experiment with different themes from popular rhymes, songs and story books to create art together while encouraging play and fine motor skills through monoprinting, painting and collage. Parent participation required (one adult to one child). Cost includes adult fee. $5 art supply fee not included.

Kids Art Connect
Inspired by the Burnaby student art exhibitions featured in the gallery, and exploring creative approaches to a theme, students engage in creative art-making using various ideas and artistic mediums. A $5 supply fee added at payment.

Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon
What is an Edit-a-thon? It is a community organised event that aims to teach folks how to edit, update, and add articles on Wikipedia. Join the BAG team on this virtual experience in efforts to include more information about female artists on Wikipedia.

BAG Workshop Series: Geometric Intervention Collage
In these hands-on workshops participants are encouraged to explore new methods, develop different technical skills, and expand their creative thinking. Enroll in one or treat yourself to all of them and discover something new. After studying and drawing a number of isometric geometries, participants cut them out and incorporate them into a collage using geometry as a visual element. Tristesse Seeliger. A $10 supply fee added at payment.

BAG Workshop Series: From Petal to Pencil
In these hands-on workshops participants are encouraged to explore new methods, develop different technical skills, and expand their creative thinking. Enroll in one or treat yourself to all of them and discover something new. Inspired by a flower arranging session and the beauty of the Century Gardens, patrons learn a variety of drawing techniques with flora as subjects. Bring your own lunch. A $10 supply fee applied at payment.

BAG Workshop Series: Bird Day Birding
In these hands-on workshops participants are encouraged to explore new methods, develop different technical skills, and expand their creative thinking. Enroll in one or treat yourself to all of them and discover something new. Join a local birdwatching expert on a walk around Deer Lake Park to experience birds that call this ecologically-sensitive area home, including herons, bard owls, eagles, mallards, and more. Materials for sketching en plein air will be provided. Afterward, gather on the Veranda for an art activity based on your sketches of local birds and flora. Bring your own lunch. A $10 supply fee added at payment.

Printmaking & Pétillante
Take the time to relax with our evening Printmaking & Pétillante series. Explore different printmaking techniques with our expert instructors while sipping on your choice of pétillante (non-alcoholic sparkling refreshment). A $10 art supply and refreshment fees added at payment.

For Everyone's Safety:
- Fine Arts programs will have reduced capacity to allow for physical distancing
- Physical distancing will be enforced through set-up and floor markers
- Masks are now required in all of our indoor facilities
- Please maintain 6 feet or more between yourself and others at all times
- Designated washrooms determined for use during programs
- Respect and follow the directions of BAG staff at all times
- Expect staff to follow enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols with frequent cleaning of high touch points
- Practice good hygiene: wash or sanitize your hands often, and cover your cough or sneeze
- If you appear to be sick, you will not be allowed to participate. Please stay home if you are sick
