Stoney Creek Banner Project

Stoney Creek Banner

The grade 7 students at Stoney Creek Community School engaged in a collaborative process designing and creating four stunning banner paintings. Facilitated by artists Anna Talbot and Valerie Methot, the banner paintings feature an environmental theme based on the nearby creek and its habitat.

Supported by the Stoney Creek Environment Committee with its many educational resources, the students funnelled their knowledge and dreams for a healthy creek environment, into inspirational and artistic creations. Unveiling of the banners took place in conjunction with Salmon Send-off community event. To view the artwork, the banners are hung on lamp posts in front of Stoney Creek Community School.
