Submission Guidelines

A call for Artist-in-Residence submissions will precede the deadline by six weeks and will indicate the type of artistic discipline available for a residency. For each Artist-in-Residence deadline, a different artistic medium will be chosen.

Submission Requirements:

  • Curriculum Vitaes of all principal artists involved in project
  • Artist-in-Residence proposal not to exceed 2 - 8.5 X 11, double-spaced typewritten pages

  • Budget of project, including the Shadbolt Centre’s in-kind contribution

  • Timeline of project

  • 2 letters of references from professionals within the applicable discipline

  • All proposals should indicate the community benefit for the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts; the intrinsic value of the contribution by the Shadbolt Centre to the development and/or production of the artistic work and how the residency will enhance the artistic life of the artist(s).

Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, incomplete applications will not be considered.
