The City of Burnaby personal trainers come from a variety of educational backgrounds. All are certified through BC Recreation Parks Association (BCRPA) and/or Can Fit Pro.
The Process
Your personal trainer will begin by charting your current fitness level and lifestyle habits. Each of us will have our own particular goals, and these can range from gaining a greater sense of well-being to improving sleep patterns, overcoming aches and pains, or shedding excess pounds.
Based on your current fitness level and long-term fitness goal, your personal trainer will help you to create, develop and maintain a long-term exercise/fitness plan geared towards helping your overall health including muscle tone, flexibility, strength, stamina and circulation. The right program will even reduce stress and tension in the body while also developing core strength and decreasing body fat.

We have a variety of trainers with various backgrounds. Our trainers are either registered with BCRPA, CanFitPro or BCAK. In addition, our trainers have various experiences, this can include Older Adults, Osteofit, Pre/Post Natal, and a few have their Yoga certification. All our trainers maintain their certification by taking courses, workshops and/or attending conferences.
