National Day of Mourning Ceremony
Date: April 28, 2020
Time: 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Location: Live Stream

Today we remember and honour the workers who were injured or killed in work-related incidents. In recognition of their sacrifices, we also re-commit to our efforts to create safe and healthy workplaces for all.

The City of Burnaby will commemorate the National Day of Mourning with a small ceremony and the lowering of our flags at City Hall. Although this is a small invite-only event, if you wish to see the ceremony, you can access a live stream at 11am

If you are unavailable to watch the live stream, we encourage you to pause for a minute of silence when the event begins at 11 a.m. and remember those lives lost or injured in the workplace and reflect upon how we can prevent further tragedies.
