High Streamflow Advisory: Fraser River

The River Forecast Centre has issued a High Streamflow Advisory for the Fraser River due to increased snow melt runoff. River levels and flows are expected to remain elevated this week and into the weekend.

City staff are monitoring water levels, conducting daily patrols of areas adjacent to the Fraser River, and are prepared for possible minor flooding as part of our Flood Response Plan »

    • Sun-heated wading pools are filled only when a playground leader is on-site (see dates below), and when water restrictions allow. The pools are ready for play 45 minutes after the playground leader begins.

Our experienced playground leaders are in your neighbourhood park during the times noted below. Young children taking part in the playground activities must be accompanied by an adults.
