BC Youth Week May 1-7

May 1-7

There are plenty of ways for youth to get involved! Be sure to mark your calendars for the beginning of May and join in fun events dedicated to youth held throughout the entire city.

If you want to get involved right away, a Youth Week organizing committee plans the celebrations and can always use a helping hand.

Each year, Burnaby Youth Week hosts a Youth Week logo contest. Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 2, 2018. Winning logo is printed on all Youth Week 2018 material. Logo winner is awarded $75.00 and sweatshirt with the logo. For more information about the organizing committee or the logo contest, contact one of Burnaby's four Youth Centres or view the Youth Week Logo Contest poster (PDF)

Youth Week is also a time that the City recognizes the achievements of our youth with the Burnaby Youth Week Citizenship Awards. Teens are recognized in an official ceremony during Youth Week. If you know anyone who deserves a Citizenship Nomination, contact any Youth Centre or your school teacher for more information and deadlines. Deadline for this year's nomination forms is Friday, March 16, 2018. Top nominees will be awarded $100.00.
