Burnaby Youth Week

May 1-7

There are plenty of ways for youth to get involved! Be sure to mark your calendars for the beginning of May and join in fun events dedicated to youth held throughout the entire city.

If you want to get involved right away, a Youth Week organizing committee plans the celebrations and can always use a helping hand.  Each year, Burnaby Youth Week host a Youth Week logo contest. For more information about the organizing committee or the logo contest, contact one of Burnaby's four Youth Centres or view the Youth Week Logo Contest poster (PDF). Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 3, 2017.

Youth Week is also a time that the City recognizes the achievements of our youth with the Burnaby Youth Week Citizenship Awards. Teens are recognized in an official ceremony during Youth Week. If you know anyone who deserves a Citizenship Nomination, contact any Youth Centre or your school teacher for more information and deadlines. You can also download a Youth Week Citizenship Award Nomination Form (PDF). Nomination forms are due Friday, March 3, 2017.

Planning an event during Youth week? Youth Services is compiling a list of activities that will appear on a poster for Burnaby youth to see what is happening in their community. Fill out an Event Registration Form. Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 3, 2017.
