The Secret For Living Longer & Better

Regular physical activity is crucial for your mental and physical health.

Forty-seven percent of British Columbians are not active enough to achieve the health benefits of regular activity. Seventy percent of obese adolescents will become obese adults, which puts them at risk for health issues such as adult onset diabetes, coronary heart disease, high blood pressure and some forms of cancer.

There are major benefits to regular physical activity: 30 minutes of activity a day can decrease your risk of adult onset diabetes and decrease the risk of osteoporosis. Take a deep breath, get out there, and be active, Burnaby!
