The Property Tax Estimator is used to determine how much your property's assessed value will affect your property taxes for the year.
For 2026, this tool is based on a combined 4.8% City of Burnaby increase (2.9% General + 1.9% Infrastructure Growth Levy) and the rates defined by other taxing authorities.
Your assessed value is multiplied by the tax rate for your assessment class and divided by 1,000. The tax rate (or mill rate) is comprised of the rates levied by each taxing authority.
Property owners receive their assessment notices from BC Assessment (BCA) each January. All assessment queries should be directed to BCA at 1-866-valueBC (1-866-825-8322).
