Business (Class 6) Property Tax Estimator

Use the Property Tax Estimator below to determine how much your property's assessed value will affect your property taxes for the year. This tool is based on the 2024 Municipal Tax rate increase of 4.5%, and the approved rate increase for all other authorities

Your assessed value is multiplied by the tax rate for your assessment class and divided by 1,000. The tax rate (or mill rate) is comprised of the rates levied by each taxing authority.

The net average assessment value increase for Class 6 Business properties in Burnaby for 2024 is 2.58%. Use this figure in comparison to the percentage increase in your property value as an indicator as to if your taxes are likely to rise or fall.

Please note:
Figures are an estimate only and do not include items such as Sewer Parcel Tax. Municipal Property Tax notices are issued in June.
