Burnaby, BC – The City of Burnaby, Burnaby Neighbourhood House, Tourism Burnaby, Stride Burnaby Arts Festival and the Burnaby Arts Council are thrilled to announce the next PechaKucha Night in Burnaby on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 8 pm. We invite presenters to share their stories and ideas in the PechaKucha 20x20 format on the theme of “Creative Connections.”

We’re seeking presenters to speak to and inspire others around the idea of connections, interactions and collaborations that strengthen all our lives. Presentations can be about creative works, an intriguing project or place, the joys and perils of making connections, or your vision for something amazing. We aim to inspire, educate and entertain.

The past few years have demonstrated that connection and collaboration are essential for building and sustaining our communities. In the spirit of keeping us connected, we invite you to share your story from your unique perspective.

Applications are due no later than Monday, January 10, 2023. If you are interested in presenting and sharing your ideas with an audience, please contact [email protected] for more information.

What is PechaKucha?

PechaKucha is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total). The format, which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced, powers multiple-speaker events each called a PechaKucha Night (PKN). For more information, please visit www.pechakucha.com
