Have electronics, small appliances, clothes, or bikes that are broken? Don’t throw it away – get help to get it working again!
Burnaby is partnering with Burnaby Neighbourhood House to host a repair café with skilled volunteers in our community who will be providing repairs and advice on fixing several types of household items, including:
Small appliances (like coffee makers, food processors, air fryers, rice cookers, and electric kettles)
Electronics (like phones, laptop computers, and audio devices)
Bicycles
Clothing and textiles
You’re invited to bring 1 item of the above type per attendee to have a knowledgeable volunteer perform a repair if possible, or provide advice on how you can do it yourself.
Repairing and mending usable items is an important part of our commitment to reduce the waste our city generates. Fixing your items doesn’t just help you enjoy using it again- it saves these items from going into a landfill or incinerator, reducing our carbon emissions.
