How To Use My Property Portal
Register a Utility Account
To register your Utility Account, you must have your Account Number and Access Code. These can be found in the top right corner on your Utility Notice.
If you are a first time user, you must register for a My Property Profile. Once registered, you can login to your profile, and then add your Utility Account. You can then view your Utility Account information by clicking on the account with the water faucet icon on the Your Account(s) page.
Register a Property Tax Account
To register your Property Tax Account, you must have your Folio Number and Access Code. These can be found below your name and address on your Property Tax Notice.
If you are a first time user, you must register for a My Property Profile. Once registered, you can login to your profile, and then add your Property Tax account. You can then view your Property Tax account information by clicking on the account with the dollar sign icon on the Your Account(s) page.
Sign up for eBilling
Receive your bill via your email or view them electronically through the secure My Property portal. When you register for eBilling, you will no longer receive a paper copy of your bill through traditional mail. Not only does it save paper, and trees — you can view your account information online anytime, anywhere. Register today or login to your account to change your settings.
Your Personal Information
The personal information collected in the My Property Portal is permitted under section 26 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for the purpose(s) of administering your utilities and property taxes and for statistical purposes.

Any account holder can create a My Property Account. If your name does not appear at the top of the bill, register with your name as it appears on the stub portion of the bill.
» Click Register Now.
» Fill in your information into the Profile Registration.
Be sure to fill in the * Required fields.
» Check the box "I am not a Robot" and answer the questions that follow.
» Click Continue.
» You will receive an email confirming your submission with an account validation link.
» In your email, click on Activate Your Profile..
» You will be redirected to the My Property Portal website and will receive a message confirming that your profile has been activated.
» Click Return to Login.
» Login by entering your email and password.
» Once your My Property account is created you can add your Utility account and/or your Property Tax account.
If you have exceeded the number of incorrect login attempts your account will be locked out for 30 minutes. Please note that for security purposes the MyProperty Portal page does not reveal whether your account has been locked and you will instead receive an email with this information.

» Subscribe to e-billing by clicking Yes or decline by clicking No.
» Check the box "I am not a Robot" and answer the questions that follow.
» Click Register.
Adding your Property Tax Account
» You must have your 2019 Property Tax Notice to set up your property tax account.
» Click on Add / Edit Accounts.
» Click on Register a Tax Account.
» Enter your Folio Number and Access Code that can be found on your 2019 Property Tax Notice.
» Subscribe to e-billing by clicking Yes or decline by clicking No.
» Check the box "I am not a Robot" and answer the questions that follow.
» Click Register.
You can manage your contact information, change your email and change your password by clicking on Home and then clicking on Update Profile. For other account changes, please contact City of Burnaby Tax Office by calling 604-294-7700 or email myproperty@burnaby.ca to retrieve your username. Our hours are listed at the bottom of the page.
» Login to your account.
» Click on Home.
» On the Your Account(s) page, select the account you would like to change.
» In the Statement Notification Method section, click on your delivery preference.
» Click on Save.

The Tax Office is responsible for the billing and collection of utilities, garbage disposal fees, and property taxes. We also collect taxes for other authorities including Provincial Schools, Translink, Metro Vancouver, Municipal Finance Authority and BC Assessment. The office also provides central revenue receipting services for the City.
